The Kidz

Sometime in 2011 I realized that I was never taking a camera home from the studio and my kids were growing up without pictures to chronicle their lives. I was failing the “Dad Duty” of picture taking even though that is my work.  I wasn’t at every soccer game with my longest lens and tripod like a lot of other parents, in fact I didn’t really carry a camera around at all. It was at this point I decided to get a Leica. It’s small enough to carry around and I knew the challenge of using it would also keep me engaged in the process of documenting my kids as they grow up. Little did I know how significant the Leica would become to my work or how these images mean more to me than any others.
